Pavel Korchagin
Chairman of the Board
Pavel has a wealth of experience within the Russian media and entertainment industry. He is a member of the board of Russian Television Academy, a member of the International Council of the Academy of Television Science and Art of the USA and is chairman of the entertainment and talk-show programs creators guild.
Amongst the awards received by Pavel are two international EMMY’s for carrying out cosmic television space bridges and laureate of a special prize at the Moscow International Film Festival.
Pavel joined 2V in 2003 as CEO of the Company and spearheaded 2V’s growth to become one of the leading TV production businesses in the country.Prior to joining 2V, Pavel held a number of highly coveted positions including the deputy general director of Channel Rossiya 1 from 2002 until 2004, the first deputy general director of Channel Rossiya 1, the deputy general director of Channel 6 from 2001 to 2002.
As general director (he joined as deputy general director) of television network TNT between 1997 and 2001, Pavel built the network from its origination.
In 1996 Pavel was deputy general director of the television network CTC and with a core team he built the network from inception. This followed two years as head producer at Channel Rossiya 1 between 1994 and 1996.
He was the president of the leading advertising agency Video International from 1992.
Pavel graduated from the language and literature department of Perm State University.
